Freedom

G'day all, checking in again, 10 weeks smoke free today, who would've thought after 53 years of slavery to nicotine and the thought processes of getting that next cigarette. These days i only think about smoking once in a while and its only after food, not every time i eat but every now and then. I deal with it by focussing on where i am now and who i'm emerging as. These days i'm more confident, saving money, which is a first, and enjoying life as much as i can what with the corvid-19 virus. I want to thank those of you who were contributing to this forum when i started this journey and i now feel confident enough by repaying your kindness and non judgemental words by hopefully assisting the new starters on a regular basis, Cheers All!

Thanks for sharing this, gives me a lot of hope that someone who smoked for so long can be successful and kick the habit! Well done! :-) I only smoked for 5 years, and am on day 5 of my cessation journey. Feels like the start of an uphill struggle, but I'm ready. Thanks again for sharing! All the best.

Wonderful Mandella. Just as wonderful is your enthusiasm in helping others find their confidence too. It is contagious...forums and seeing others succeed is very motivating.

Thanks for your story Mandela. I am on day 7 of my xx quit. I really hated being a smoker but always failed to quit. This covid-19 is great for scaring one into escaping the trap.
When do you become a non smoker, the moment you decide to quit?

Congratulations Freedom, The mental aspect is so important, and we look forward to your contribution and continuing success.

On Day 3 of smoke free now, reading these stories of people who have made great progress is so inspiring. Thanks so much for sharing! So looking forward to the day when I hardly think about the death sticks lol i'm still getting cravings at the weirdest times but staying strong!!
