Day 11

Hey everyone, I've posted my story on day 4 and today i feel like its time to check in with everyone and tell you about my progress. I'm officially 10 days without smoking and I'm so proud of myself but today on day 11 smoking is the only thing I can think of. I woke up this morning with a little brain fog. My emotions throughout these 10 days are intense I experience extreme highs and lows. I know I will get through another day and will be back after another 10 days to share my story again. Thanks to everyone sharing their stories and experiences it really keeps me motivated.

Gerdus you are doing great, it will soon be 12 days, and for you at the moment it might be well to consider one day at a time. Your brain is heightened by using your own path and strategies, which have you thinking only about the cigarette, a new strategy is just going with the flow at these times and reminding yourself how precious you are.
You need to think like a non smoker now more than a smoker and give yourself rewards to heighten your achievement.
Keeping happy is difficult in these trying times, so please take on board any happy memories, events etc, which you can think of, especially how happy you are in your heart of hearts to be going on this journey.
Being happy in the process, is one of the key ingredients. Look up "How to become a happy non smoker" by NASIA DAVOS from TEDxUniversityofPiraeus its on u tube, some aspect will resonate with you and will clarify your own relationship with the cigarette these are the ones you need to build on. Keep on keeping on

Whoo hoo. You're doing great! It is better to think of the positives and the better life ahead of you as a non-smoker.... the freedom...the wealth...the power of control. Already your confidence and ego has grown. Good for you. Smoking has stolen so much from us......
