Yesterday i was actually salivating thinking about a nicotine hit. I haven't had that type of craving in 20 days. Today, not so bad. At this point a lot of traditional triggers have been presented to me. You see, I smoked or dipped to cover anxiety and stress. Well since my quit my wife has lost her job, I have a new boss, and the job has been very stressful. I'v not used through all those situations, i will not use.

One ongoing issue is insomnia. I'm waking up after sleeping about 4 hours and I struggle to go back to sleep for about 3 hours. Then I go back to sleep, and I'm exhausted when i wake up. I'm hoping that this passes soon.

Remember, you only have to quit for right now. Get through Now and stay on track. ODAAT! (one day at a time).

one day at a time adds up and gets us closer to our goal of being a happy non-smker. i hope you have read allen carrs book which does help to make it easier and especially more sustainable. the right mindset is invaluable to this and other situations. you can do this!

I just looked up what you meant by "dipped".

Wow, that's hard core. You were doing both?? It's no wonder your body is going into a bit of shock. But it will thank and reward you.

Congratulations on not succumbing to the urge. It won't change a darn thing about your jobs, probably just add to the stress because you would be disappointed in your self.

Well done, 27 days is now 4 weeks, and will very soon be a month. Your going great!

@Lando - i forget so many people don't know about the nasty habit of dipping. Dipping is using moist tobacco, you stick it between your cheek and gums and spit (or swallow) the tobacco juices. A single can of 'dip' (also called Snuff) equals 4 packs of cigs in nicotine. The problem with dipping is you can do it everywhere b/c people don't know you are doing it. It is a nic addicts paradise.

It will kill you; just like cigs. Tobacco is a hideous habit.
