Keep Fighting

Hi. This is my first ever visit to any of such community threads about smoking\noctine addiction.
I am 31 and had been smoking from last 13 years. I have been 38 days smoke free today (cold turkey) and I can assure you if you can sail through the first 2 weeks, it would be way easier going ahead. I have tried quitting before and had been successfull in being a non smoker for 1.5 years. A careless mistake on my part to get back to smoking.
I would suggest everyone to go through Allen Car's book for making your attempt a lot easier.
Hope to keep in touch with you all !!
I am sure that like millions of others we all can come out of this nicotine addition. I

despite my stroke and loss of independence. i still had no urge to smoke. allen carr and the mind together are powerful things. already i am opening and closing my hand and can stand. thankfully my speach was not impacted much and my mind not at all.i hate one finger typing so icons are a blessing. banned from my poker but i have icanquit movies and puzzles. so glad to see so many newcomers and all the support given. loving the stories and yes you can quit smoking even easily once you realize you are giving up nothing a d gaining everything. stay with this forum and stay free.

Welcome Piyushind, you sound like you are on track and on target. Thank you for sharing your story and keep up the great work!!😊

Thank you all for your support.
I have accepted the fact that I am a non smoker.
There have been multiple instances wherein I had the company of all smokers during a night out but could sail through without a single puff.
I would urge everyone not to avoid smokers as they are your real test. Once you are through, then is the realization phase of how marvellous life is without a cigarette.

i quit smoking not my friends and life! do not feel deprived, do this for#1....YOU.Be happy. be free
