Dreams

Its troubling that even after being smoke free for over 400 days now and rarely if ever getting the craving to smoke, I have been having vivid dreams of me having smoked. Recently the frequency of such dreams has increased and each dream seems more realistic than others.

Its bothering me that while my conscious mind rarely thinks to smoke, when I am sleeping the desire to smoke is alive.

All this means is I still have work to do mentally. Just dont know what it is yet

I rarely remember dreams, but wrote about the first time I dreamed , and have since had another. This second one , although foggy, almost convinced me that I had until i fully awakened. I was appalled and so thankful to realize it was only a dream. I know that I have no desire to resume the addiction that was cursed with for so many years, so maybe it was an idea so horrifying that it woke me up.

Regardless what our subconscious minds hold, it is our conscious minds that we use to make decisions and have control of. Unless you sleepwalk and can smoke in your sleep, I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

400 days is amazing Aniruddha, I wouldn't be too concerned I have had a few even after 150 days free, I think something or situation is letting you know to be vigilant, which is not a bad thing. You can say the words "I am going to have a deep and healing sleep and wake up refreshed" every night if you want to, or something similar, if it makes you feel better. Congratulations on over 400 days.

@Happiness - Good point. As long as the conscious mind is not thinking of smoking, I should be fine :)

@softly40 & @Seashell virgo - Thank you!
