Focusing on My Kids

Last night on day two was really hard. I grabbed a cigarette from my boyfriends cigarette pack put it in my pocket and walked outside. I walked back inside and just looked at my oldest son. I walked back in the bedroom and put the cigarette back.
I thought just one more cigarette but I didn't want my last time date starting over again. Didn't want the initial cravings to start over again. What I do want is to see my kids grow up. It was hard but I'm happier today knowing I didn't cave in.

Be proud of yourself for overcoming a weak moment. You have more strength and stamina than you give yourself credit for. Your children give you the strength too, so you may want to keep a photo of them to turn to and use it to keep your resolve. Anyone can quit smoking Dawn. Only you can do this for yourself and your children , and it will get easier. The sooner you look forward to being a non smoker, the easier and faster you will get there. Embrace the idea and stay positive!
