1,255 days in, an update

Smoke free for 1,255 , that's 3 years and 5 months and according to the price I originally entered onto this site I am over $25,000.00 better off.
I won't tell you it was easy ,as it wasn't, in the early days I "just want a ciggie" , loved walking past smokers so I could savoir the aroma, didn't quite know what to do with all my "spare" time (I cleaned) , and all of a sudden I no longer had my own "reward" system, you know " when I do this I will stop and have a ciggie" but found a replacement in chocolate. So after this it is over to the Weight Watchers website.
So I thought I would let you all know what I found as a positive without sounding like an annoying Non Smoker.
There are more hours in my day as I no longer "stop" for a ciggie"
I don't smell of cigarettes or my clothes , hair and breath.
I no longer feel alienated by standing outside a restuarant or a party smoking.
These are just a few. Just know that you can do it, not for anyone else but yourself. Stop making excuses, no more "because".
BELIEVE IN YOURSELF.

Great achievement, Jenny S.
i to am over the 3 yr mark,
I am a smoker that chooses to smoke no more.
Having the confidence within yourself to let go..

That is great JennyS, i struggled yesterday, was real moody and really really wanted a smoke so bad. i didn`t cave tho. i have saved $547 on my last pay...THAT NEVER HAPPENS TO ME.

Hi pe, It's tough some days and you really doubt that you are strong enough to do this. Being moody is normal and you didn't give in, how good is that ? You have proved to yourself that you CAN. Go and treat yourself with some of the money you saved , buy a dress, a pair of shoes or a nice relaxing massage. YOU ARE WORTH IT
