I marked a year and a half quit cold turkey a couple days ago. I found out from recent medical tests that it was time to quit when I did. I have some physical things going on that finding out were a wake up call. I have always believed strongly that everything happens for a reason and I believe I quit smoking a year and a half ago for a reason. Not only did quitting smoking have a positive effect for my physical health, it also fuelled a lifestyle change that includes activity levels and nutrition. Knowing I have the power to overcome an addiction I had for over 25 years gives me additional strength to know I can overcome the recent health issues. So many benefits, both physically and mentally for quitting smoking.
