Alcohol Free

I have given up smoking many times. Anything from a week to a few months but the minute I go out and have a drink (Alcohol) the cravings hit full on and I begin smoking again. THIS time I took a few months to give up alcohol first. I would normally go out once a week and also drink at home one night a week, on those nights I could smoke more than one packet of smokes and sometimes finish two whole packets. No more alcohol, as it is my weakness.

Hi there, I can definately relate to this. I could easy smoke a packet in one night whilst drinking whether it be at home alone or out with friends. Alcohol is my downfall too. However, have so far managed two outings in a month around alcohol without smoking. It can be done with the right mindset, sounds like you are on the right track. Good work.

Yes, alcohol is my downfall too with smoking. I am giving up alcohol as been drinking a bit more in past month and thought it was actually helping me deal with the cravings but not a good crutch.
