Boxing On

Posted in Staying quit
schedule 3 Feb 2018

Hi All. I'm still here and boxing on. 3 months ! , 13 weeks ! [they don't sound enough], 127 days - that sounds more of an achievement. Don't miss having a puff at all.I actually don't like the smell anymore and it used to be one of the things I enjoyed most. My family are all on board now.

It was really funny watching their individual reactions as they pieced together the changes in my behaviour [they took a while to realize I wasn't smoking - I never told anyone - I wanted them to discover - haha] and expressed their surprize. They all think its great. With the money I save I can go out and buy the things I want like a new sound bar for the TV and stuff like that and not worry about having enough money. Yeeea.

I couldn't take all the Champix. It made me feel gross and I discovered I didn't need it.

So how are you all doing? Good to have a catch up.

So excited for everyone who quit. I am only one week in, and every day is different! Yesterday, no desire to smoke, today it's all I can think about! How long before I don't think about it? I keep reminding myself of all the reasons I quit, but I'd really love to smoke (but not going to). I tried Chantix the last time I quit 3 years ago. I was fine while on the Chantix, but when I stopped after the 3 months it was terrible! I was very anxious, depressed, almost went crazy! I'm quitting this time with a program through the hospital, with really great respiratory therapists running it, very supportive. I just want to be smoke free!
