So tired.

I started champix at the start of Dec 2017 gradually cutting down and now I’ve been smoke free for 5 days. I love being able to breathe and walk without getting puffed out. I had smoked for 40 years, I don’t want to go back to smoking. Why am I so tired all I want to do is sleep is this a part of withdrawal when will I get my energy level back.

Same here, started taking Chantix mid December, quit on Jan 1. No slip ups, but man, I am needing so much more sleep than usual. I typically sleep 7 hours a night, but since I quit I need 9-12 a night! If I don't I'm a zombie all day. Most people I tell this too think I'm just lazy! So anyway, I am on day 16 and the cravings are basically gone, I can breathe much easier, and all around feel a thousand times better, but the need for so much sleep is driving me nuts!

Thank you all, I'm up to day 8 and feeling a little better. I haven't caved and I'm staying strong.

I've made it through day 5 of quitting, with Chantix, but am so tired that I am sleeping 16 - 18 hours a day. I remember from last time I quit that was one reason I started again, as I was working at the time and couldn't sleep that much. I also have Meniere's Disease, so can't drink coffee to help with awakeness. I basically have checked out of life with the need to sleep and am hoping that this isn't the new normal. Any suggestions?
