669 days smoke free
Hi All
It has been about a month since I checked in last, I have been reading your stories and it is great to see so many new names starting your individual journey to a smoke free life.
I wish you all well, it is journey that we must embark on in our own way, for me I needed the assistance of Champix, my husband has just begun his journey he had been trying to cut down however, after a serious health issue the surgeon told him cutting down will not stop him he just needed to stop, so we came home from the appointment after telephoning our daughter with the results he took his cigarette to the guy next door and hasn't had a cigarette since. 25 days smoke free He has times where the cravings get bad but he knows that cigarettes caused his issue and he now knows his is not invincible.
Stay focused everyone it can be done the first 644 days I was smoke free i lived with a smoker who smoked inside, if I can do this so can everyone of you. Good Luck
Great for u ....I was lucky cos hubby said if u can quit I will try too and he has been quit to 158 days .I not sure how I would have went without him quitting too.You in spire me too get too 600 days too thanks
When I quit, my husband was still smoking also and at first I said this is my journey and I am not going to have a go at him because he continued to smoke. I was very fortunate that he stopped about a week after me. He couldn't believe I had done it!! It certainly helps heaps as there are no smokes in the house and no temptation. I hope your husband's health improves now he is not smoking. It is such a great feeling to go places too and not worry about finding somewhere discreet to have a smoke......it's like 'oh yeah, I don't have to worry about that anymore'
