Still going strong!

From a pack a day smoker for five years, I am on day 43 of being quit. I still can't believe that I was able to find it within myself to quit. I feel so much better!
43 days ago wasn't my last cigarette, I have slipped up a couple of times when I'd be out with people that smoke and they offer me a smoke. But I would only have one smoke and I feel that has helped me quit permanently. I no longer crave cigarettes intensely anymore. I still have cravings everyday but they are easy to manage.
I have been under a lot of stress at the moment but I haven't turned to a cigarette so I'm quite proud of myself. My partner also loves the fact that I never smell like cigarettes anymore, so he also helps me stay quit.
Quitting is so very possible, you just need to find it within yourself to do it. I believe in you!

Thanks for the comment Robn! Slip ups are awful but it doesn't mean that we failed at all! It's basically the same as a person on a diet slipping up and eating a slice of cake, it's alright. Just don't make a habit of it haha.
One day at a time, we can do this!! Proud of your efforts so far!

Hi Robn. Take note of what your newbie quitters have to say. Hope you do not return in 40 years or whatever to say that you have not quit. A message from a smoker of 45 years. What a fool I have been. 26 months smoke free has opened up so many new opportunities. Skin looks better too. So say those who know me. $'s are going a lot further to paying bills and there is less bill stress. Must visit the supermarket soon to see what a carton costs now... Hmmm
