Hi all

Thanks for your support. I am now on day 13 - and going strong - as I mentioned earlier I am also doing "Dry July" (abstaining from alcohol) which I find is definitely the way to go as far as smoking is concerned as I am one of those who has always associated a beer in one hand and a cigarette in the other.

I am feeling much better and quite proud of myself for my journey so far. My wife has also jumped on the Dry July wagon so we are both benefitting.

It must be said that my wife is currently working away which is not a bad thing as the whole quitting thing can be a little frustrating and we don't want to get "short" with each other.

Anyway it is absolutely worthwhile and we are looking at the big picture.

Cheers all

good going, somehow leaving everything together ( alcohol and smoking ) is difficult. I am rewarding myself every week with beer.( lol)

Hi Rohit

Its the best way for me i.e. get off both beer and smokes......I will no doubt go back to a few beers but at the moment that is the big trigger for me and so I am avoiding any situations which may tempt me.....and by the way I have probably saved a couple of hundred $$$$$ in the past couple of weeks.....easy peasy......NO!!!!

Hi Pistol,

Congratulations on your 13 days smoke FREE!

Yeahh, i am 1 year and 23 days smoke free and still when i drink a couple of beers the urge for smoking comes :D, we miss that buzz that comes with lighting a cigarette after a drink.

But overall i can assure you that you will start to enjoy your beer even more without smoking!

Keep up the good work and know that it is only gonna get easier!
