Success!

One of the hardest things I ever had to do was quit smoking. I kicked the habit and thought I was doing awesome! But here lately, the cravings are starting to come back, so I'm coming to someplace to get support and help me stick to my quitting! I've been quits with smoking for almost over a year, and it's been frustrating, let me tell you! The biggest thing that's been dissuading me is two things: One, I still don't enjoy it. It's gross, smells bad, and is annoying to try to work finances out for. Second, however, is that I'm still coughing! I know you cough for up to a year to repair the damages done to your lungs, but this is fargin' ridiculous! I never knew I had allergies until I quit smoking! XD

Hey mate, you not the only one with frustration, it is part and parcel of what we all need to go through. I , like you am almost a year quit and i too have coughing bouts from time to time especially when i am in laughter.I smoked for 52yrs and smoking took its toll. However, when quit we start feeling and breathing better ah? Just perservere and let cravings pass. Remember how sorry we would feel if we regress. Cheers.

Hi StormAngelus. Is there anyone on this site who found it easy to quit? Answer? You said it! An emphatic, NO! So chill and read past posts and see if anything makes sense to you. Took me a few years to find the best road to take in order to quit. There is no easy solution. I suggest you do a search on this incredible site. I found my answer on this site 2 years ago and have not looked back. Hope you find your own inspiration.
