In hospital

Hey all,
I couldn't find a health part but last night I was taken by ambulance into hospital because I temporarily loss vision in my right eye for the 3rd time in less than a month.
I've been seen by a whole stroke team who are completely baffled as to why this is occurring. Now they are uncertain if I'm experiencing mini strokes because I've no other symptoms and every single test has come back great.
They kept me in and I'm still here because they want their own ophthalmologist to give me a real going over. It feels a bit relieving that they now don't think it's mini stroke related but it sure would be nice to find out what's going on.
They went to put a patch on me but I refused. I have some cut up lozenges which I'll take if I need.
Please stay strong everyone because for me the health risk ain't worth it. They want the patch on me because they have said around the stage I'm at, some do return to smoking no matter how they quit.
I don't want to be one of them.

Omg Kim,
I'm so sorry to hear about this happening again to you. What the heck, tell them they better get their s... Together and find out what's the matter with you. Don't make me come down there, because there will be a crazy American running thorough that hospital. I'm very curious if its the same eye as before? Plus how long did you lose vision? Did you experience your words being slurred or did you lose some feeling on one side of you body? Got to say I'm worried so keep me posted. I was in the hospital about 3 months ago because of my uncontrolled high bp. I almost passed out in my kitchen making coffee on a Monday morning before leaving for work. They actually admitted me for 2 nights, running tests and still couldn't figure out why I almost passed out. I guess my point is, they need to figure out what going on. My little episode yesterday is nothing compared to this. BTW I didn't do it. Please keep me posted.
Sorry your having a bad time,
Hopefully you get out soon,
Your qb Mike

Thanks all,
I was discharged last night. Now the prognosis is
ocular migraine but a very rare type. They have said that it is highly unlikely now that it was blood clot related and also unlikely that they have been
TIAs thank goodness.
Another review with eye specialist and neurologist in 3 weeks time.
I'm so glad to be home again.

hi one of the reasons i have stopped smoking is because my vision was getting worse while smoking. and on some packets it does say smoking can cause blindness. other side affects i am experiencing are light headed and vivid dreams tiredness.

Mike i can relate to your hbp as my doctor told me mine is way too high. ive never ever had problems with my blood pressure. all i can put it down too is i love my SALT, and i have started menopause with the hot flushes. i dont know if going through meno causes hbp.
