Hi icanquit,

Congratulations on your 90 DAYS smoke free!!!

It's true that after the 2-3 month if you start smoking again it is completely conscious decision to do so.

I am now almost 11months smoke free but i remember one time when i was 4 months smoke free and one night i lit one and i was back to full time smoking in just a few weeks.

So i think that to stay quit in the long term is a bit trickier than to overcome the initial physical withdrawal.

It is all in our mind, we have to convince ourselves that smoking doesn't give us anything. I believe that once we have a solid reasons why we do not want to smoke than these mental urges will completely disappear.

Keep up the great work,

So true Ivan, agree with you 100%. I am a week short of 10mths quit now and urges are very minimal . The habit is gradually wearing off. Cheers and good luck to all quitters on this site.

Congrats that's a wonderful effort!!!

I agree with Ivan also. Staying quit can be the challenging part we just have to continue along choosing not to smoke.

I've heard very long time quitters can still get a mental craving now and then but they've said it's such a minimal craving that passes very quickly.
