Quitting Smoking

Cold Turkey
I used to be a regular smoker like almost 10 to 15 cigarette a day from past six years.
I quit smoking on 18th of March 2017 and it’s almost more than 20 days I haven't smoked a cigarette.i have read many blogs
on internet.here I am sharing my experiance and problems i have faced and what precautions i have used to come up with that.

I have faced many symptoms after quitting smoking like mouth ulcer sore throat tonsils cold symptoms and mild fever.T
The process of quitting smoking:
1st WEEK: I have faced mouth patches a white scar mark on right side of my inside cheek about 3 to 4 cm long.
It was a swollen part and every time I feel it with tongue It gives me a sensation in my mouth. I tried many gels and medicines,
It gives Temporary relief and it almost took two week to cure completely.

2nd WEEK: I faced mouth ulcer at the end of my tongue and below the tongue. Many blisters of ulcers which almost frightened
Me about oral cancer. I studied a lot about oral cancer, I went to a dentist and told about this situation and irony is not
All the dentist of aware of this situation. She prescribed me some vitamin capsules and a mouth ulcer gel. It almost took 3 to4
Weeks to heal the ulcer completely.

3rd WEEK: I got mild fever and cold symptoms in third week. Running nose mild fever mood swings depression is the common symptoms.
It feels like something is stuck in my throat. My mouth feels dry every time. Body produces lots of mucus once you quit smoking.

4th WEEK: I got tonsils on 4th week and it makes difficult to swallow anything. I took some general medicine for tonsils.it
almost took 3 to 4 days to cure completely.

 

Food
1. I used to drink plenty of buttermilk, fruit juices like water melon, musk melon, apple, orange etc. sabja(Basil) milk shake
banana milk Shake yogurt and many more dairy products.
2. I used to eat lots of fruits and raw vegetable like carrot cucumber onion and tomato.
3. Cut spices for some time from my food chain.
4. Drink plenty of water almost 5 to 6 liters of water in a day.
5. Gargle with luke warm water and salt atleast 4 times a day.(you can add cumin seeds in water too while boiling)


Tip:
1. Mood swings and depression are very common symptoms after you quit smoking.
2. You must look positive side of your life.
3. Try to keep yourself busy.
4. Make a note about your dreams.
5. Eat well and eat healthy.
6. Always remind yourself quitting smoking is your choice and strong decision.
7. Drink plenty of water.
8. Do the things which make you happy.
9. Take 20 min walk and do some normal exercise.
10. Nicotine is very addictive drug but your determination is stronger than Nicotine.
