25 Days in - and I joined a gym

How's everyone going with it? I'm past the legit struggling stage but still find myself wanting to flog cigarettes from smokers I pass walking down the street.
"Just one drag puleeease Mister?!" I would say to the unsuspecting bystander.
They must see me staring n think I'm judging their choices but I'm totally not, I do really miss it still at this point!
No joke.
But I joined up at the gym which is fairly unprecedented for me. Today I smashed it out on the bike for 9 kms at advanced intervals and nearly lost my lunch but I did it!
something like that would not be possible if I were still a smoker.
So it's totally worth it in that respect.
I've actually ceased champix altogether - cold turkey would you believe it?!
Hoping everyone is hanging in there and that my story can help in some way.
Bye for now!

Hi bexactly. I think anything you can do to vest yourself into being quit is so beneficial!. Joining the gym is going to help you in SO many ways. Riding those 9 kilometres releases endorphins that make you feel good, takes your mind off of smoking, helps repair respiratory system, made you sweat which helps you detox and I am sure there are many other benefits. Does your gym have a sauna? When I first quit I would take around 1 litre of cold water in the sauna for around 20 minutes to help detox. Again this helps in multiple ways... 1) takes your mind off smoking, 2) helps to eliminate nicotine from your body, 3) makes you feel like you have more control over quitting, helps the respiratory system repair itself.
