Looking back....

So my son (recently turned 18) says to me 'Mum, you were so agitated, cranky, mean, snappy, critical and moody when you first quit I had to 'google' if you would change back to your normal self. Lucky you did or one of us was going to have to move out!' God I laughed, considering it was my house I can tell you who wasn't moving out!! I was telling a close friend of mine what my son said and her response was 'Yeah I was giving you a wide berth for a while there'.

This prompted me to go back over my posts on this site and 'Wow' I was messy.. I was angry, hating the world then happy, then yep -hating everyone again. I don't know how I had any friends left or a job! What a wild mix of emotions.

I'm so much more even tempered now and back to my cheery self.

200 days today and feeling mighty fine. Hang in there newbies it is so worth it, it's not easy but did you really, honestly expects it to be?

Hi Cranky, I am inspired by your story. I am on day 65 of going cold turkey. I read the story when you were at 5 months and experiencing strong cravings. do you still get the cravings?
