Interesting that there is not much banter about rewarding oneself for milestones achieved. I always look forward to the next milestone, not a reward. I must mention Fullofhope, Dobbin, WendyOhNo, Johnie and Jenna who have all reminded me in various clever ways how fine the line is between staying quit and succumbing to a fate worse than any cravings experienced over many months. At this stage, if I erred, I may be inclined to simply give up the effort. What a slap in the teeth it would be if I went down that path. 19 months is a journey not to be repeated but one to be added to. One day at a time. Each day to be appreciated. Hope there are many more in this community who follow or report back with even better milestones.

The only reward is to be a non smoker and to go through each day voluntary with out a smoke is the greatest reward, as we pass each day, each month, then the year and it creeps up to being another year, these become our milestones which we can proudly own as our very own..

But we as humans and smokers who don't smoke anymore live on a very fine line that we are all still learning to adjust to life without a smoke that the addiction very much controlled our day to day life.

All we can do is take one day at a time and hope it was a day of positive achievements in whatever we do.

Hi Jenno211058. Agree completely with all of your remarks. I think we should all get together and write a book. No matter how someone expresses an idea, then someone else will say something even more profound. Amazing. And much appreciated.

Hey Lia, I've got my eye on 6 months and my reward is a massage! Love the idea of the book, those who have walked the same steps have excellent advice..

I think the reward is not having to start again and also that the longer we last the easier it is to bear the stresses and sadnesses of missing something we loved. They pass much more quickly now.

In your case, the reward should also be the constancy you have shown all of us over so many months. It is very much appreciated.
