6 months today

Posted in Staying quit
schedule 5 Nov 2016

Today is 6 months cigarette free, well done and woohoo me 🤗 That's 1/2 a year that I have been a non smoker and hopefully will stay a non smoker for the rest of my life. I say this as smoking is a nicotine addiction and you have to deal with it on a daily basis until you have enough time away from it and enough practice of dealing with life, without it that it's not Even a thought anymore? This has not been easy at all for me, but the rewards are so worth it! Being able to take a big deep breath, not stinking like an ashtray, no yellow fingers or brown teeth, having money to spend on nice things, no grey sallow skin, not being flooded with guilt and shame and self hating thoughts from everytime I had a cigarette or bought a packet? It feels so good not to have these things in my life any more because I stopped doing what was causing them, Cigarette smoking? Life is so much better as a non smoker and it will continue to get even better, every day in every way as I stay a non smoker!!! 🤗🤗🤗

Hi Miss Lizzy. Always fantastic to know that fellow quitters are reaching milestones. Gone this far, keep going. It must have been so hard to stop and therefore there is no looking back. A long hard road. Your achievement is a feather in your cap.
