Day 14

Hello all, I have been a smoker for almost 9 years and have quit and relapsed probably a dozen times. While i have made it longer before, i am really trying to trust that i have the willpower to stay quit this time around. It feels different, and my cravings are less, even around other smokers. My main problem is stress, which makes me really, really want to smoke. But, i want my life back. I'm very proud of myself for making it two weeks, it's been a year since i made it this far, and i am already feeling healthier and more energized. Good luck to everyone in my position. It's so hard but so worth it.

Hi Penelopen, as Wendy said she is right. You have been a smoker for 9 yrs....relatively speaking that is not too bad compared to some of us on this site...i for instance 50 yrs and first time i have quit. Look, it is not easy, and no point saying it is. Cravings will disappear in time but it is the habit that lingers. In time of stress we all lit up...but this was just to ease the situation. It was all a mind game ...the smoke did'nt relax us it was the thought in our mind. Try chewing a lolly next time you find yourself in a stress situation..you will be surprised. For the time you have been a smoker you have an excellent chance to quit. You must have seriousness and determined reasons though. You hang in there ok. Cheers.

Hi Wendy and Johnnie, i just want to say thank you so much for your support! I am now at 31 days and going strong!!
