Struggle and temptation

Hello everyone,
I m here again after a while. I slipped again. It wasn't just a cigarette, a bought a pack of them and ordered a drink. I m really stressed out these days (two works, studying for state license exam, I put on too much weight...) and I couldn't resist. While I was destroying everything that I had accomplished since December I got an e-mail from a iCanQuit member. I couldn't believe. I left ciggies and lighter to the waiter and left home. Today I' m feeling much stronger thanks to you all. It means I lot to have you and this site.

Welcome back Lady K..hadnt seen your posts for quiet some time and had wondered how you were going.
Well it goes to show us all that we are all human and this smoking habit is a very hard habit to break, ok so you slipped up but the main thing is you are back and willing to give it your best shot....keep posting regularly.

Hi Lady_K. A while ago I asked successes and failures to come back to this site and a few did. Anyone who falls off the wagon can expect encouragement to start again. Anyone who is on the road to "recovery", not Bly inspires others, but reminds hem that this is not an easy path. It must be a lonely feeling for those in the very high hundreds or thousands of days. These quitters are often very vulnerable because there are few and far bwtween

Hi Lady K. Hang in there ... !!! and know your hand is held. Squeeze hand :-)
We all have sh*t to deal with ... omg ... just be strong. You can do this.

Be kind to yourself. It's a tough road you have chosen, to become smoke free but we are all here with you. It has taken most of us a few goes to quit and none of us can be complacent. The memory of smoking takes a while to heal in our minds and the nicodemon can be quite ruthless. We all have to be in the right place to stop for good. You are doing brilliantly, you didn't destroy everything. If you had you wouldn't be back here now. We are here with you every step of the way, post on here - vent, moan, cheer whatever you need to get you through. Be proud of yourself for coming back and facing the new adventure you're about to take. Whatever you do, do not feel guilty. Guilt is for those who don't quit, you're better than that - you're quitting. These white covered demon sticks - they have no power over you unless you let them. Be strong. Hugs
