Hi all, it has been a while since I have posted.
Last post I celebrated 100 day's, I can't believe how fast the last 29 days have gone, I can now get through a day without constantly thinking about a smoking, I now sleep better most of the time.
I have gained a lot of weight, so I will have to deal with that soon, I don't know if it's the weight gain or just the time of year but my health has deteriorated.
So wherever you are in your journey, please know it's possible to succeed and it might take a while but it really does get better. Good luck everyone

Congratulations. 129 days is awesome and you've broken the back of it. Don't worry about the weight. That is easier to lose than quitting smoking. Our health deteriorates in winter anyway but you'll recover quicker than if you were chuffing away.
We know how hard this is and we are slow to congratulate ourselves on something we would have thought impossible a year ago. Congratulate yourself now.

yeah that's what they tell me it gets better so I will not smoke today to see if they are right.
well done on the 129 and if it makes you feel any better I recon I feel worse now than I did when smoking but if I am really honest I was right on the edge I don't quit anything till I see the whites of the devils eyes.
so reality is if I had another 115 days of smoking under my belt its quit possible I would be dragging a O2 tank around with me or worse.
so hang in there and know it could take a bit to get better and that it takes huge courage to jump off and want to live even if its not so easy at the start most go on to the bitter slow death end we are the lucky ones :)

Hi Storm. I agree with Fullofhope. Nothing is harder than quitting smoking. Statistics tell us to expect a 5 to 9kg weight gain. And many other quitters know what that looks like... I would rather be tackling that than the other. I will blame it temporarily on the fact that I can now smell the aromas and enjoy the taste sensations of every morsel of food.
