My 2nd day

Well it's day 2 and still no cigarette for me, It was hard waking up having a coffee with out a smoke, but hey I did it.

That' it mate. I am at the begining of quiting too ( day 17) and smoke free life - which is the real normal life- seems so strange at some points to me. having a big meal for lunch and not smoking after it for example is very strange. ticking the non-smoker box on the forms is strange and exterimely rewarding - I just love it.
I do not know if any of these normal life affairs will be normal in our eyes once more as it defenately had been some days in the past but this is how it works. keep going like this and you will enjoy it.

sure does take some real hard work early to change old thinking but as others are doing it so can we right :)
well done and they tell me it gets better so I wont smoke today to see if they are right.

I have stopped drinking coffee as I don't like the taste of it now its water all the time which is a big change but hopefully will be worth it good luck

Well done, that's fantastic. It will get easier, just take an hour at a time, a half day, a day..... Each hour not smoking is a milestone, have a little smile to yourself, you can do this. We have faith in you and are for you to rant to our be jubilant. Keep posting, stay positive and believe in yourself.

Thank you everyone for your great comments and support, much appreciated. Today was tough and I'm sure it'll get tougher for the next few days. But I will fight against it and be strong minded not to touch the cigarette. Your comments are very helpful and powerful,

Hi Avlex, what is wonderful about this site is that whenever a newbie declares a desire to quit, lots of fellow quitters exten a welcome and huge support. You won't get that anywhere else... Hope you do yourself and us proud...
