One week and still strong

Posted in Staying quit
schedule 22 May 2016

It's been 1 week since I took my last drag of a cigarette. It feels like years ago.

I've gone cold turkey but somehow it hasn't been as hard as I thought it would be.

And the most amazing thing happened on Friday night. I went to the pub with a mate for a counter meal which I knew would end up in alcohol drinks but I was prepared to do it tough.

My mate is a non smoker but we hit it hard. I would have drank 20+ pots of beer and NEVER had a smoke!!!

I know 20 pots isn't good but no smokes is even better.

I feel fresher, healthier and cleaner.

I'll keep you all posted. Keep up the good work all!

Well done, each day is genuine surprise now, isn't it. How things smell, some good some bad, ha ha ha and taste is back. Amazing accomplishment, I'm doing it cold turkey too. I didn't want to have to quit the smokes then quit the other form, I don't think I'd have had the willpower to do it all twice

An amazing accomplishment! It goes to show we don't need cigarettes to live our lives and enjoy our mates or a good counter meal. Keep up the quitting force its strong and getting stronger. This inspires me and keeps me smoke and stink free thank you!
