Need to do this
Hi all,
Im not the type of person that goes about telling my life story, but i just wanted to get this off my chest. My 11 year old son has been doing my head in for 4 days straight last week, telling me that i need to quit. So last tuesday i walked into the chemist and purchased the 2mg of nicorette lozenges. I gave my self no hope of quitting. Ive been a packet a day smoker for about 25 years. Anyway to my surprise i only smoked 8 cigarettes for the next 4 days with the help of these lozenges. I needed to get rid of the habit all together. So i decided to go to my gp for a prescription of Champix. I knew i jad to get rid of all my cigarettes. So on sunday morning i puffed on my last cigarette and took my first pill and about half hour later it felt like i had never smoked before. It feels amazing. I know i am very very early into my journey. As i write this i am 29 hrs smoke free. Here and there i feel like a cigarette but i think of my son and quikcly pop a lozenge in my mouth and it gets rid of my craving. Good luck to everyone out there thats trying to quit.

Hi furs7. Whatever motivates you is a bonus. No motivation means it is probably hard to impossible to beat the habit. Since it is YOUR decision to quit, hang in there. From me on day 345 and would never have dreamt it possible till I found what would turn me and my thinking around...

yes there is no script it comes like a wave or a steady river the lead up to saying I have had enough I am done, for me it was a long process of the battle inside that finally wore me out to lets go smoke free and see what happens :)
so well done keep sharing and keep of the smokes and who know what happens !!
