Nearing a week smoke free

I awoke this morning with no thoughts of smoking. What an achievement. I have been talked into doing a 5k race for life in Cambridge with a friend at work who nearly burst when I told her I'd stopped. I had no idea she was so upset that I'd smoked. Anyway with that kind of support how can I deny a run with her. Rude not to.

Dear whitewilow,
Well done...all the best....its a fantastic start for you...one day at a time...

Way to go Whitewillow, I love the run for life. Do you usually participate in runs?
You have come so far in just one week, am very happy for you (and right behind you).
What's going on, is it really easier to quit tobacco than to be an actively feeding nicotine addict?
Perhaps it really is!

WWW, Well done WhiteWilliow :)
your doing great writing heaps it sure helps writing it down and getting it out of my head.
so well done on the 5 !! many more to come !!

Hey weewillem, nope don't normally run. I admit I'd had a glass of wine last night, so was an easy target for my friend. Having said that, I have now registered and I have 8 weeks to train. I don't think I could have got through the first few days of smoke free without you guys. Thank you so much, you have helped me change my life for the better.
