Today I saw myself as I watched a person struggling with a drip to cross a road and have a smoke, last week, I help some one to cross, today I watched and realise it was me 5 weeks ago. I shed a tear, not for them but for myself, shame, guilt and hope that it will not be me in 7 short days. I forgot the main ingredient is willpower.

Hi Cath57, do check out posts from others who are on this journey. I don't place many stories on this site since 31 or 32... Have been smoke free for over 250 days and am enjoying inhaling & exhaling oxygen / CO 2. Day by day, enjoy the journey and the power of being in control of your life. My turning point was when I read the post by BigJohn and I don't even think he realises he has helped me save over $5000 from the ashtray, not to mention reclaiming my life. Find some story from the dim dark past as often newest stories are "merely" looking for supporters. Mind you this is a crucial part of the journey on this site and you may find a quitting soul mate... Do wish you all the best and he you succeed.
