Appreciate those who have shared your journey...

A few names come to mind. Some I have not seen here for a while. I hope they are still on the path to success. In the "graduate class" I congratulate Nodrah & Fullofhope. Both have supported me and others over the past few months. For me, after 45 years, 271 days smoke free is due to determination on my part and support and affirmation from those who were on this journey months ago. ($5 636 looks better in my pocket than the astray... ) We feel the pain and anguish and terror new quitters share on this site. We only hope you share the distance with fellow sufferers / quitters.
I am wondering what to do with the 1/2 carton of cigarettes I have in the cupboard. Over $100. Not about to flush them. Don't really want to put them up for sale on eBay... Might have them put into a museum which depicts life in the 60's & 70's...

Congratulations Lia and thank you for sticking around. It's too easy and unrealistic to think we have it completely licked by now. Maybe we gave but we still need the dose of reality a visit to this websites gives us:You've done so well to get this far and an especial thanks for your support - I have been buoyed up by it.
I think you should chuck those cigarettes into a bin in the street - an ordinary, unceremonious end is what they need.
Thanks for your consistent support on the site and well done

Thanks, Fullofhope. I honestly could not have travelled this far without the support of you and others months ago. Having those blessed things in my cupboard meanS that there is never a morning when panic may set in because The cupboard is bare... It is all in the mind. I can choose to say NO. It has worked. Still think I may donate them to a museum one day.

Hi Lia, And Hi Fullofhope, wow what a journey its been so far, congrats to you both for hanging in there and jamming it fair up this stinkn demon.
I pop in every so often and see how OUR crew have been travelling but don't see many left on here....Spose theyve pretty well conquered there demons and have moved on. I will always pop in from time to time to stir somebody up:) As for those stinkn demons you have left Lia why don't you take em down to the local and leave em in the smokers zone...some one will appreciate them....Talk soon guys and remember this definitely is a marathon

P.S do you guys reckon Nannette fell of the rails and started again? puffn that is
