3 months smoke free today - how is everyone doing?

Tomorrow I will have made it past the "Itchy Threes" milestones (ie 3 days, 3 weeks and 3 months). In the beginning there was always a little bit of doubt in the back of my mind that I would not keep my determination to stay smoke free but now at 3 months that voice has become almost persona non grata. That voice may always be there in my subconscious but I now know that it is my choice on whether I listen to it or not and the more I ignore it, the quieter and less frequent it has become. Best wishes everyone for a smoke free future and let us know how you are doing

Thanks Lia. I fight my cravings with either exercise or finding some task to do which occupies my mind eg reading, looking through this site or the James Corden carpool kareoke videos have been a help as well and by the time of I done one of these things, it has passed. What do you do?

Congratulations - what an achievement. You've gone so far that you can't look back. I know that just as when someone close leaves us, for whatever reason, we have to adapt to our new lives as best we can. We don't go backwards with grief because we have no choice. After about 3 months of quitting we are almost in the same position. We could smoke but, given what weNve been through, there is no choice.
Keep up the stupendous work - you inspire we in my wobbly moments.

Thanks Lia and Fullofhope. You both inspire me and help keep me on my journey as well. As long as we keep saying "no" our future will be so much brighter, fresher and wealthier!
