Staying smoke free

Today I am 204 days smoke free and to think I did this with no patches and no gum ! I thought it would be hard, but it hasnt been as tough as I had anticipated. After 22 years of heavy smoking, I made up my mind that I was done and I was done ! You have to be consistant and be ready to quit. I can honestly say that after 204 days without a cigarette I am ready to go another 204 and so on and so on lol. I traded smoking for eating healthier foods and going to the gym. I have been running and going to the gym almost as long as I have been smoke free and it helps keep me in line.

Well done Sean we don't get many long term quitters on the site and hearing your journey inspires us that there is light at the tunnel and yes life is enjoyable. You should be soooo very proud. Thanks for sharing your story.

Hi Sean36. I am up to day 65 and hope I will achieve your level of success. It is so good to read of such a monumental journey as that is what we all aspire to do. Appreciate the time you have taken to share and inspire.
