Happy in the moment

I went to my daughter-in-law-to be's (if that is even English) kitchen shower yesterday. I was lovely. there was champagne and beautiful food. And guess what? No one, but no one there smoked. I felt sooo great not having cravings or not pretending to need to get something from the car to have a quick smoke. I am now getting to the point where I don't even think of smoking for long periods of time. 25 days and counting. Next Wednesday is a whole month!!!!!!!!!

How good is that, nice to feel normal and like you say don't have to hide to have a dart and then eat mints to try and mask the smell . I'm like you I don't even really think about having a dart now it actually feels quite alien now and I can't imagine lighting one up. Wait till you see how GOOD it feels when you hit a month. Keep going caus it just keeps getting better and you just feel so damn proud that you are doing it. Xx

Lindavan, Nannette and Jojie- There is not an iota of doubt that you feel prouder each day into your 'quit program'. It is fabulous to begin realising that you are not even giving the 'quitting' much of a thought now-this is a sign that you are advancing toward what you want to be -smoke free! The sense of a powerful rejuvenation that we 'long time smokers' gradually begin to feel after successfully managing to stay away from cigs is incredible really! 63 days for me today and I am ecstatic-though being grounded and always aware that a little pat now and then is absolutely necessary to keep me going:) And one of the 'little pat' is when I read you guys' motivational stuff here-Hoorah to all of us!!!
