Hi Guys m it's Monni again Bronte thanks :) the guys i was ready about the 4x4 to take his family on a trip , my GOd i was so rapt for you and to have such a great memory for you and your family . the best thing is with all the enjoyment , photos and years later when your kids look back on the experience is that your were not smoking in any of the memories or photos!! Bronte , hi you sound like you are doing really great too , Go you !! not easy but do you sometimes just think wow really thought it would make it harder then this ? is it cause it does make it easier as time goes on ? i have some sad news , one of my friends, who i told you about in my previous stories that she didn't want to give up cause she didn't want to put on the weight , she rang me today she has been coughing up blood , i have told her to go and get test done she is now in the process of doing it . but as she was telling me i could hear her still smoking so i said just try and at least cut back . i will let you know of the process , i hope you all are doing as well as you possibly can, i don't think there is anything in life that would take so much willpower to do , i haven't saved any money yet as i keep either lending money out , i cook a lot more then i use to , i eat more but, the weight i can lose eventually , i am just amazed that i do not smoke . wow i have never said that before . all the best to you all till the next time :)

Hi Monni, yes, sometimes I do think like that, but then I get to thinking and always remind myself how hard it has actually been & at so many times it's been unbearable and just about impossible. I know what you mean though. I do think it is because it does get easier & you tend to forget, this is where it gets a little scary because then your mind starts telling you that you can have one, yeh, have one, you can quit again it's easy (you've done it now you can do it again). Don't listen to that voice, it's done it to me so many times & not true. I'm so sorry to hear about your friend, what a terrible thing, I hope she gets the help that she needs quickly and it's not too serious, doesn't sound good. It's amazing what we put ourselves through and still continue to smoke.

Hi there. Yes Bronte I agree with your last sentence. My Dad died 6 years ago from emphyzema. I watched him suffer for 10 years before he eventually died. At the time I had quit smoking for 11 months. The day he died I was straight back to smoking. Amazing that watching him die like that did not make me more determined not to smoke.

Well here I am again attempting to give up for my 6th time. Day 2 so far so good. I want to succeed this time because I don't like feeling the way you feel through the first few days.

Monni sorry to hear about your friend.
