600 days free

Hi all, just seems so magic to see I've been free of cigarettes for 600 days. I started off half heartedly thinking why not give it a try, just see what happens. I truely didn't expect to succeed in any way. A few days into my quit I discovered this site, and have not looked back. Each of the early days I hung on to the thought that if I really couldn't cope without smoking then I hadn't lost anything, just wouldn't give in during an actual craving.
My stubbornness worked for me, and so did the wonderful feedback from my fellow quitters on this site. It was a roller coaster ride at times, but every day free from addiction strengthened my resolve. Life has thrown some nasty challenges my way lately, and occasionally I still think I'd like a smoke, but it's in a very theoretical sense, no way I would actually want to have one.
I still love to read other peoples' posts about quitting, it's honestly so inspiring to hear from you all, no matter what stage of the journey you are at.

2 thumbs up to you. it si inspirational to herr your story.congrats and keep others inspiring.

You must be feeling fantastic Dottily. It is great to have this website to pop into instead of struggling alone, the posts certainly do help me. I was thinking today, i will need to be careful, when the withdrawals settle down to not forget the work i have done to move on, it has been a roller coaster as you say, but we are all doing well... yay nice to hear your view :)

Congratulations Dottily, well done! I am getting there myself....close to 7 months quit, coldturkey :). I am very happy and proud of myself. I love the new me.
Wow jojie, cold turkey, that's awesome and something I know I could never achieve, well done and well done to everyone.
