NEVER AGAIN

In a few days I reach 6 months of non smoking. Having wanted to quit for some time I finally did when I had a chest infection and felt very unwell and could not tolerate the smell of a cigarette. In my case cold turkey was the only way (I had previously tried an ecig which wasn't bad but I gave it to a friend after 1 week as I obviously wasn't ready at that time to give up). I have to confess that on this occasion I have found it quite easy (after smoking 15/20 a day for 20 years) which covinces me even more that it is mind over matter and if you really want to quit and pick the right time when you are mentally prepared and determined YOU CAN DO IT. In these days of smoking bans in publc places, bars, restaurants etc. it should be easier to give up. I now only have 1 friend who is still a smoker and I smile to myself when I see her standing outside in the cold having a cigarette before she comes into the office. I also smile when I look at my bank balance and see how much is left at the end of the month that hasn't 'gone up in smoke'. Keep trying and good luck

I think snce you have the extra $ you need to buy yourself something nice a outfit coat hat something you would never want to destroy with the bad smell of a butt !

Hi Mike1095, I have taken several of my coats to the drycleaner to get them fresh again. As I put on about 10 lbs since stopping smoking I have adjusted my diet and am swimming twice a week to get back in shape My treat has been some Elemis skincare which I couldn't have afforded as a smoker. I am a very determined person at the moment.
