4 months!! 4 months I have now been completely smoke free. I used Champix and they certainly worked for me.

i seriously would struggle to go 4 hours without a cigarette but this proves that it really can be done. I smoked a lot (30 per day) and thought for years that it was taking control of my life and it had. The first month was strange not smoking, the drug helps the cravings but the triggers are there still, every day for over 20 years I would be doing something for 5-10 minutes and those gaps need filling!!

i started doing different things, different timings of coffee breaks, different lunch times etc and tried to change my normal routine which really helped. You are a changed person without fags and for me the routine change was very important.

i even started running and although not far the feeling if exercise when you finish a session gives you a buzz similar to that of cigarettes but it was a natural high.

I'm not kidding myself that I will never want a cigarette again and in the back of my mind I'm prepared.

Please stick with your plan of action, you are all good people who have found this site with something in common and that is to quit.

good luck people, we can do this!!!!!

Great Work for 4 months! I never thought I could go 4 hours or 4 days without a smoke but now can feel that 4 months and even 4 years is a reachable goal, it is these stories I read that help fuel my motivation.
