Staying Quit
I am coming up 2years .I have saved nearly $13000 which I have spent on fine dining, new clothes and trips away and concerts. Unfortunately My fragile marriage didn,t stand up to my new identity but life is great.A new house with mortgage near the river. I walk and exercise daily . I have lost 20 kilos'and feel 15 years younger. I have a new girl who enjoys similiar interests. i no longer stink, am proud of my appearance and work on it, i walk upright and smile most of the time because life is too short to not get the best out of it. Smoking is a habit that affects your life so much physically and mentally you dont realise until you quit. QUIT NOW AND START LIVING!!!!!!!!!!

Cold turkey? Sheer willpower? Nicotine supps? What helped you quit? Ive been wanting to quit for awhile but want has turned to need due to a bad run with health due to smoking yet I still cant bring myself to shake the urge?
HI, I had two unsuccessful stomach hernia operations , part of the reason they failed was from coughing. I was on my way to the grave . I smoked for 35 years and told myself I enjoyed it.I used Champix but you have to want to do it otherwise nothing will help . good luck.

Hi cough cough cough on what day on champax did u quit I'm on day 11 only had 4 smokes today normally I smoke a pack a day.Tried patches didn't work.
Hi Kathy, I think I was on Champix for about a month. I had got down to about2 or 3 a day. The day of the operation I stopped. When I came home from hospital I couldn't drive for 3 weeks. By that time I was through the worst and from then on I started to exercise , my first day I walked 400metres and that was an effort. I now walk 10kms without raising a sweat.I gave up sugar, bread, orange juice ,and started to eat mainly fruit and vege's and life is great. The best thing I don't cough any more. Goodluck
