Watch the savings grow

I have been a non-smoker for 20 days now and have saved $500 which I have put aside.  I think to myself "would you be prepared to set fire to the $500 and destroy it?" The answer is definitely no.  I then remind myself that if I was to have one cigarette I would be back in the nicotine trap and the $500 would be gone in less than a month.

I am taking Champix and find I rarely think about smoking and have few if any cravings/withdrawls.

I think the hardest thing about stopping smoking if making the decision to stop and actually having that final cigarette.  Once you stop, you are a non-smoker and can get on with a better life.

I know this might sound too easy, but bear in mind I am 64 yearss old have have smoked of and on for 45 years.  I really believe that with the right mindset in place, actually having that last smoke is the hardest bit and once stopped, staying that way is relatively easy - maybe it's the Champix!

Pebro congrats on your success! I completely agree with your comments, the last cig is the hardest! :). I am day 54 smoke free due to champix, it sure does help a lot but you have to want to quit or it wouldn't work. So big congrats to, you've done it, way to go!
