Update 2: If I can quit then SO CAN YOU!!!

Today is 7 weeks which equals 49 days, thats 1176 hours, 70560 minutes and an incredible 4233600 seconds!!! Wow! The first 72 hours I got constant thoughts about the death sticks and had to keep telling myself how much better life will be off them. We all know the reasons for why we are quitting. My biggest reason is high blood pressure and the risk of stroke is high if smoking as they increase the blood pressure even further.
Today I wake up in the mornings and my first thought is coffee and no longer light up! This makes me so happy. I probably think about lighting up 4 to 5 times a day and I can so quickly dismiss the thought. If I play out the thought in my head it is like disgusting taste and vomit. When I smell other peoples smoke it is filthy.
My aim is still 2 months because by then I will say I mostly have this beaten. A lot of people say it takes 2 months. So if a calender month is 31 days I have another 2 weeks to go
After 3 months my lungs will start to clean. I'm so lucky I can gulp a full lung load of air. I was a smoker since 1985 without much time off them at all.
If I can do this then SO CAN YOU! Believe me, YOU CAN DO THIS!

Hey wade, day 33 for me and doing good! You know I've read several of your msgs on this site and now realize just how huge your accomplishment to date really is. You have really given up all your addictions and done it cold turkey you should be hugely proud of yourself. I hope this has made you realize how strong you are, not many people could accomplish what you have! Amazing job, keep it up!
