1 day down
Today is day 16 on the Champix program and day two of my quit life. Yesterday I had a smoke on the way to work and then I had two puffs of a cigarette at about 2pm. So far today I haven't even wanted a smoke and it's 1pm already.
I was speaking to a work colleague this morning outside at around 9am while she had a smoke in fron of me and I wasn't even tempted. I feel strong this time and a big part of that is due to champix. Other attempts I've had, I would have found it very hard to resist and would have most likely asked for a smoke from my colleague.
I've had flu like symptoms ever since taking champix too, they seem to have subsided today as well as the blurred vision and headaches that I usually get when I quit.
Fingers crossed I can keep improving and become a non smoker. After so many attempts at quitting I don't think I'll ever really be a non smoker, but I think that one day I won't be tempted by the smokes anymore.

Hey there, just thought I'd check in and see how u r doing? U posted a new story but every time I try to open it I get an error, so thought I'd leave a msg here. Are u doing ok with the champix, feeling better? I had to go down to one pill a day cause it really didn't make me feel right -headachy and stuff. It's much better for me now and the cravings did not increase. Had a glass of wine tonite - first drink since I quit and it tasted just fine, but one glass was enough. :). Hope u are still smoke free and feelin strong!
Hi Kam
Going really well thank you. This will be my 13th day without a smoke, so far I've saved $185. I am feeling better, just a sniffly nose now that has persisted for a long time. I'm still on two tablets and am about to go and see a Dr to get another prescription. The only time I can recall being tempted at any time was yesterday. I just finished building a shed at home and really wanted a beer and a smoke after a job well done. The craving for a smoke didn't last long though which I was happy about.
I can't seem to view the previous post I made either, it was a good story so I'll share it now. My Mrs and I just bought a Ford Territory and the repayments ont he new car and a little over half of what smoking was costing us. I couldn't believe it when I did the math. What a silly habbit it is.
