What a great Christmas spent with my never smoking daughter and my grandchildren. In years past I would furtively sneak outside for cigarettes, and come back in smelly and guilty, and not really knowing how to explain to the kids where I'd been and why. Today I didn't have to disappear, or make excuses, what a wonderful sense of release. This quit journey is so worth it, and I just keep finding more positives. Anyone in the early days of quitting, take heart, although it may be very hard at first, you will reach a place where you feel comfortable not smoking, and very proud of yourself. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone.

Hi Dottily I remember when you first gave up and appeared here, I'll bet you feel a xxxx of a lot better now. Worth the effort wasn't it?:-) I had to put the x's in because they wouldn't let me write the word where the bloke with the pitchfork is.
