day 50 smoke free

Well today is my first real milestone that sounds substantial!! day 50 without a ciggie, I have to admit I didn't think I would make it. And I've made it official - told my mother and told my boss!! that must mean I think I am over the worst hurdle (or most times I do)
I have had maybe a day a week over the last few weeks that I swear have been worse than some of the days in the first week. Feels like physical withdrawal still although technically thats impossible. Talk more, talk louder, boy I sound strange from where I sit
Weirdly enough today is one of the hard ones, at least its a Friday so won't wreck my weekend! Thanks everyone for the support - I'm looking forward now to celebrating day 100 with you
And best of luck to those starting - its a strange mix of not as bad as I thought and one of the hardest things I've ever done, but for some-one that couldn't think about quitting without panicking, it must be do-able for a lot more normal people than me!
Congratulations Larch!! Day 5 for me cant wait until i can say ive gone 50 days smoke free!! Keep up the great work

Awesome effort Larch!!! I'm on day 114 so know how you feel and so true about your comment about "not as bad as I thought and one of the hardest things I've ever done" - go figure. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I could give up but I have so good luck to you and to everyone else starting out - YOU CAN DO IT IF YOU REALLY REALLY WANT TO!!!

Hi Larch, fantastic to hear you're day 50! It honestly does get easier on the way to the big 100. I found cravings lessened to longings, which were very brief, and now I have niggles! Mostly just a fleeting thought "I used to have a cigarette in this situation" without any real desire to do so. When you think about it, there are no negatives to this journey, it's absolutely a win win scenario.

Hi Larch, good for you, your a re trooper but it is so worth it, I look forward to writing for your 100 soon.

50 days today smoke free. I should say beer and smoke free. I still feel very vulnerable . I had to give up my beloved beer by the pool all summer long thing . What's a beer with out a cigg?

50 days smoke and beer free today. Can't quit one with out the other.shortness of breath has been cut in half . 30 year smoker. Quit for mostly my daughter who's 10 . Want to be there for her
