Day 14 and staying on track

I have made it to day 14 or better still 2 weeks smoke free.. Feeling pretty good and still determined to make this my last quit attempt.
Well the last couple of days have been trying, been thinking about smoking alot. Apart from that, I forget I smoke. I guess we call those cravings- lol. I just distract myself and keep busy. I think its those times of boredom or when we're relaxing that the little nicotine monster wants to play with our heads. But hey Im not playing that game..
Anyway- Like it been said before on here by so many others- Today Im not smoking,Just get through today. Worry about tomorrow when we get there...
Good luck every-one and remember you are not alone. We are all on this road together :)

Hmm that nictine monster Grrrr...Ive found it lasts just a few minutes and if you can distract yourself then it just dissapears and before you know it several hours have past without thinking about it at all...so just keep ignoring that 5 min niggle and get on smoke free for the rest of your day...good luck x

Thanks for your reply Converse, One day at a time!!
And lindsey60, I agree with those short lived but intense Nicotine monster attacks, can be pretty full on at times. But your soo right by ignoring these niggles..
Good luck to you both..
Onwards and upwards we go, into our new smokefree lives xoxox

Well done Gammy.. The weeks soon seem to fly by.. I am on day 34 with Champix and I cant believe it. I also read Allen Carr's book every couple of days and find that helps alot. I also say to myself regularly "im free"!! lol.... Might sound strange but it helps. Guess we have to do whatever we can.. Stay strong..
xx

Thank You TanyaBee, Its the best feeling in the world to be finally free of that horrible addiction. And Yes you are right we do whatever we have to do to get through this and stay on track.Well done to you on day 34, Yahooo how good is that..
Good luck to all of us, day by day whatever and however we need to get through this and beat this addiction
xoxoxo

Hi Gammy, good on you, well done! Im day 10 smoke free, have also been wanting a smoke last couple of days but like you find something else to do. One day at a time. Im really liking the fact that i dont STINK! I get into bed at night and my pillow smells like my lovely expensive shampoo, not filthy cigarettes!!! Ha Ha.....Keep it up Gammy, the positives far out-weigh the cigarette. X

Thats great RJ, day 10 smoke free. Its so good to know that we are not alone on this journey. And funny how we have our sense of smell back, I work with the public and OMG im smelling some pretty smelly people since Im not smoking..lol.And of course smelling some beautiful smells.. Gotta laugh though..
Anyway keep strong and keep posting so I can see how your doing... Good luck xx
