Two months down and feeling fine

Wow, I can't believe it's been 2 months since I had my last ciggie. I go for days now and not even think about it. When I did my shopping this week I walked straight past the ciggie counter where smokers lined up to pay hard-earned money for thier fix and I gave myself a pat on the back. Not even a twinge of want - that felt so good.

This isn't the first time I've given up by a long shot but somehow this time is different in my head. Its like my mind and body are working together. I have put on some weight but I'm not stressing over it - the extra kilos will be gone soon as I'm starting to eat well and enjoy walking for the first time in my life as I no longer cough and wheeze.

Yep I'm feeling mighty fine :-)

Tour opening line got my attention. I cant wait to go for days without thinking about it. At the moment its good not to think about it for a couple of hours. You give hope that it gets better and easier the longer we are smoke free.

WTG Sunnygirl and you will feel even better the longer the time goes as soon you won't even think about a ciggie. I laughed at your comment about the smokes counter as I do the same thing.

Keep going.

Thanks for you comments everyone. The weight I put on in those first weeks has nearly gone. I rewarded myself this week - this may seem a strange reward but I went to the dentist and had my teeth cleaned and whitened with some of my ciggie savings. Begone nicotine stains! I'm a non-smoker now.
