43 days and never going back!

Posted in Staying quit
schedule 5 Mar 2013

Well its been 43 days and I really cannot believe I have come so far.

I still get urges, mainly because my next door neighbours smoke and it travels over the fence. Omg it smells so inviting, but I know that it is just so not worth it anymore, especially knowing how far I've come and what I have overcome during this journey.

I honestly feel more at peace within myself, life is slightly less stressful :)

Hang in there, I'm on day 266 and still get the urge now and then. They're a lot easier to cope with now.

Hey AnythingsPossible - have missed hearing from you. Man, youa re already on 43 days!!!! You go girl!! I am now on day 25 and also can't believe I have got this far. I also get the urge so often still, but hanging in there. Keep going. The urges have got to get less and hopefully one day disappear. I certainly hope I'm not still getting craving by my day 266. By then I want to have forgotten I ever smoked

I personally don't think the cravings would have disappeared for good. I had a friend that had quit for over 3 years and she went back to smoking, but that was probably due to things going on in her life at that time.

It's amazing at the fact that I find the smell of the smoke enticing but the smell on the people smells absolutely rotten!!!!! I know I'm definitely not going back, which is a really strong statement for me to say, because I have usually failed by now - so glad I haven't :-)

Hang in there leighdo13, before you know it you'll be where I am. Just like everyone else, take it one day at a time. That's all we can do! :-)
