Slow but steady wins the race!!

I am now 6 weeks free of the horrid cigarette!!! After many attempts, smoking for over 15 years, I think this time I finally realise that I dont want to do it anymore and in realising this, I have found it a bit easier. I feel better in myself, my health and my kids couldnt be happier. The only negative I find is that I am becoming a bit unsocial as the old me loved to sit around with friends of a weekend enjoying a drink and a cigarette (or a few). Even though I dont see friends that often now, I feel better throughout the day, I have more energy and enjoy spending more quality time with my girls. Thanx for listening and well done all of us!!

Hi For the kids, the socialising part will come back in time, I was the same, but you will get more confident in yourself and be able to go back in to more situations that you used to smoke in more easily as you get stronger. 15 years is a long time to learn behaviour, it will take you a little while to readjust! Good luck, enjoy the benefits and time with your girls and your extra energy!

I'm 44 days smoke free and loving it! I'm feeling pretty happy i've resisted urges whilst away on the long weekend! Feeling sooooo much better and healthier and richer! Yay!
