Hello Gerry and fellow quitters. I do indeed have some news. Today is my 150th day as a non-smoker and that is exactly 5 months. Gerry, I believe you will have some news tomorrow?

Today I had a meeting with a guy who has been quit for 7 years. He was a minimum pack a day smoker. He never thinks about smoking these days. There is hope for us all!

I really am thrilled that I have not had a single puff for 5 months. And while some days early on were very difficult and some weeks seemed to drag on forever, this time has passed fairly quickly. It doesn't seem that long ago that I quit. Still .... forever vigilant!

Here's Mickey, LOL

Great work Mickey. Not only on reaching 150 days but also coming to this site regularly to support others.

Maybe we can have this month dedicated to those who have reached 50 days, 100 days, 150 or 200 days but more importantly those who have made the decision and have gone ONE day without smoking.

Thanks Freakboy ... appreciate your words. I think the great thing about this site is that we all feed off each other in one way or another. Even when people are at their lowest of lows and post on here, as I have done a couple of times, it humanises the whole process, and let's us know we're not alone.

I'm gonna miss you dude! Good luck with your move. I've done the o/s move a couple of times and know what a big deal it is and it can be stressful, but always exciting and an adventure.
