Hi fellow quitters, today it is 4 days since I touched those foul chemically laden nicotine sticks. And I am grateful to God who in his mercy has spared me through all trials and temptations. Armed with a patch (21mg) and just one losenge yesterday I fought the fight, the mind game, my secret yesterday was to keep my mind actve or distract my mind away from myself. I volunteered for a local charity by picking up 20 loaves of bread from a bakery and delivering them to their freezer. I took my son to the local Mental health unit for his fortnightly injection, and I bought the paper and immersed myself in the news of the day. After lunch I went to a local Stretching class and then visited my counsellor for a 1 hour session. Then after tea I went to Bible Study. I'm off to Bible study again this morning and quite frankly I just don't have time to feel sorry for myself. Praise the Lord. I want to wish all my fellow quitters on this site a good day without nicotine and to think about the great gift you are giving your body-fresh air

Well done Jatchat. When I had cravings I used to put a big smile on my face and sat to myself "yippee, I'm a on smoker". It really helps because you're turning a negative feeling into appositive affirmation. Stick with it you're doing great.

I meant "say" and "non smoker" and "a positive".
